May 1st, 2024 is traditionally celebrated: everything about the opening of the Wöhrsee and the maypole in Raitenhaslach

May 1, 2024, Labor Day, is traditionally a very sociable and eventful day in Burghausen. It is a good tradition that the Wöhrsee is officially opened with a jump into the cold water. First Mayor Florian Schneider is again inviting the entire population to Wöhrsee on May 1st from 10.30:11 a.m. and to the traditional swim-in at 3.000 a.m. Last year there were 10.30 spectators and swimmers, so additional beer tables are set up. The kiosk is open and there is again free beer and free meat loaf donated by the city of Burghausen. There will also be music: the jazz band “Oiweiumhoibeeife” will play on the kiosk terrace from 13:XNUMX a.m. to XNUMX p.m.

Immediately afterwards, from 13 p.m., the maypole will continue to be put up in Raitenhaslach. The Raitenhaslach clubs invite you, the mayor is the patron. The Georgsbläser play on the village square. It's a celebration for the whole family. There are drinks, fish, grilled food, cake and ice cream. The city is again using a free bus. From Burghauser ZOB via the exhibition hall, Bonifaz-Huber-Straße to Raitenhaslach and back. First trip from the central bus station at 11.50:18.05 a.m. every half hour. Last return journey from Raitenhaslach to Burghausen at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.
