General Information

The employees of the Burghauser Stadtgärtnerei have a wide range of tasks.

They mow the greenery along the road, the compensation areas and the roof of the Burghausen community center. The team also takes care of the maintenance and irrigation of the sports fields, i.e. the natural playing fields, football pitches and the artificial turf field.

The employees of the Burghauser nursery plant and water the perennial beds, interchangeable flower beds and troughs throughout the city.

In total, the employees of the nursery work on 70 streets in the city of Burghausen.

The gardeners of the city of Burghausen look after the botanical garden, the rose garden, the mill park and the Bräugartl as well as the city park and the Lindach forest park. They are also responsible for the water bodies in Burghausen.

The tasks of the team also include cutting work. These tasks include, among other things, tree felling, hedge trimming and shape cutting of the roof plantation system.

The gardeners also look after the meadow orchards in the Burghausen city area.

In total, the team checks all 5.000 urban trees at regular intervals. The team organizes nature action days and tree-planting activities with school classes or as part of the holiday program.

The gardeners help with the decoration work at events such as the Liachterlweg at Wöhrsee or the Gallimarkt in the old town.

The team also handles smaller construction sites. This includes the construction of fences and ponds as well as paving work.

In spring and summer they look after the green waste collection point in the municipal building yard. In autumn and winter, the employees of the Burghauser garden center support the municipal building yard with the winter service.
