Theatrical performance in the Stadtsaal © Gerhard Nixdorf

"We see ourselves in the tradition of all the great theatrical writers and storytellers who have been packing their wagons for centuries to set up their stage in front of people all over the country and play for them: stories of love and jealousy, loyalty and betrayal, of heroes and... Failed, of struggle, death, longing and redemption - the whole spectrum of human feelings and destinies! ...."

Andreas Erfurth and Kai Frederic Schrickel couldn't have formulated the claim of a theater play more accurately.

The well-known German actors and directors have realized their dream of having their own “traveling” theater in Potsdam and have already been guests on the Burghauser Stadtsaalbühne.

Her performance was one of five guest performances by different “theatres on the road” that stop off in Burghausen each season.

In addition to well-known ensembles, the people of Burghausen also regularly welcome new directors and theater producers to the Burghauser Stadtsaalbühne.

The guest performances deal with current themes of the time as well as old, recurring human characteristics and passions.

"Shrill, loud, hearty: That's how comedy had to be in the 16th century, otherwise there was less to laugh about for the people. The New Globe Theater Potsdam does just that...in "The Greatest Day or The Marriage of Figaro"
