VHS Burghausen-Burgkirchen
An adult education center is an educational institution for further education and adult education. The sponsor of the Burghausen adult education center is the non-profit vhs Burghausen-Burgkirchen e. V. The vhs Burghausen offers a wide range of courses such as language, IT and integration courses. The facility also offers lectures on current social developments, courses on a wide range of hobbies such as painting, dancing or cooking, as well as on mental and psychological health. Almost every citizen can find a course for his or her interests at the vhs Burghausen-Burgkirchen.
The vhs also offers courses for companies.
General Information
The history of the adult education center (then "Volksbildungswerk Burghausen") begins in 1946. In 1947 it offered the first events. In 2022 the vhs Burghausen-Burgkirchen celebrates its 75th anniversary. The vhs has two branch offices: Burgkirchen and Kirchweidach. The office is in Burghausen at Marktler Straße 16.

The financing of the adult education center can be divided into three major areas: Approximately 33 percent of the income is generated by participation fees. Another 33 percent of the income comes from state and local government funding programs. The remaining 33 percent is accounted for by public funds from various funding sources and other income.
The vhs Burghausen relies on close cooperation with youth work and the environmental office in Burghausen in order to offer current topics related to sustainability. She also wants to expand the cooperation with the Burghausen schools and the university as well as the cooperation with local companies and companies. The vhs helps with the integration in Burghausen with numerous language and integration courses.

Catholic District Education Center in Altötting
The Catholic District Education Center in Altötting is part of the Catholic Adult Education Rottal-INN-Salzach e. V. Catholic adult education sees itself as part of the public education system and offers courses, lectures and other events through its educational institutions. Within the framework of the Christian world view and view of man, courses in general education, political and religious education are offered. The courses and events of the Kreisbildungswerk are open to everyone.
