General Information

The family home in Burghausen is a place for the whole city family. The Haus der Familie was founded on the initiative of family advisor Doris Graf in 2009. In September 2021, the municipal facility moved to the heart of Burghauser Neustadt, between Bürgerplatz and Stadtpark.

The Haus der Familie serves as a social signpost for the citizens, it is an open meeting place for young and old and offers enough space for all people who want to get involved as part of the city family and exchange ideas with others. In addition, children and young people, Burghausen parents, adults, senior citizens and new residents will find a variety of options, leisure activities and advice here.

The Bürgerinsel eV is an important partner in the family home. The association is the central point of contact, advice and mediation for all citizens in Burghausen who are looking for advice and help. The Bürgerinsel also promotes volunteer work, neighborly cooperation and a senior-friendly environment.

The German Child Protection Association District Association Burghausen-Altötting eV has its office in the family home. Children, young people and parents will always find an open ear and support here. The Child Protection Association runs the “Kunterbunt” mini-daycare center in the family home.
