Fresh wreaths regularly adorn the Wacker Chemie memorial at the Burghausen site. In the courtyard of the factory manager building, surrounded by a small park, a memorial commemorates three former colleagues. Accountant Jakob Scheipel, foreman Ludwig Schön and foreman Josef Stegmair were shot by an SS court-martial on April 28, 1945 not far from today's memorial.

The three Wackerians had previously followed the call of a Bavarian-wide resistance group that campaigned for a non-violent surrender. A group of courageous men arrested active National Socialists in Burghausen in order to prevent destruction at the plant. However, the project failed. SS men who rushed from outside seized the resistance fighters and executed them. The directors of Wacker Chemie had previously campaigned for the three colleagues in vain.

A memorial with three plaques has been commemorating the brave resistance fighters since 1946. The memorial is not open to the public.
