The counseling centers for sexual violence and prevention as well as domestic violence/women's shelter are sponsored by the association Frauen helfen Frauen eV Burghausen.
General Information
Qualified specialists work in the two counseling centers. The full-time employees are supported by women working on a voluntary basis in the areas of management, association work and on-call duty.
Women, young people and children who experience sexualised violence can contact the advice center for sexual violence and prevention. Specialists and reference persons can also seek advice here.
Women who are threatened or affected by domestic violence can contact the advice center for domestic violence/women's shelter.
The counseling in both counseling centers is free of charge and confidential, the employees are subject to confidentiality. If desired, the advice can also be given anonymously.

A women's shelter is an anonymous place to live that offers women and their children temporary protection from violence. Any adult woman who has experienced violence can be admitted to the Burghausen women's shelter with her children. Here, women who have experienced domestic or sexualized violence have the opportunity to receive counseling in a safe environment and to temporarily move into a room in the women's shelter, including with their children. The Burghausen Women's Shelter is an important facility to protect women and their children from violence.
