The city of Burghausen is concentrating very intensively on the area of mobility. Whether traffic flow, traffic volume, local public transport, parking spaces or carpooling opportunities - the city of Burghausen has made it its task to implement a sustainable and effective traffic concept for the city area and the surrounding area.

In doing so, she wants to take all road users into account: pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. The newly created traffic steering committee is intended to help create ideas for a safe cycle path concept and to defuse key points in the city area.

Anyone traveling to Burghausen or wanting to move within the city can use public transport. For several years now, the city of Burghausen has been making public transport more attractive by, among other things, extending the travel times of the city bus and using a shuttle bus between the old and new towns. For short distances, Burghausen residents will find two bench seats in the city area.

Not all roads and paths in Burghausen are in the hands of the city. For example, a federal highway, the B20, runs through Burghausen. It is not the city that is responsible here, but the Traunstein State Building Authority. The city of Burghausen coordinates closely with the office and keeps an eye on care and maintenance measures.
