Stadtwerke Burghausen has four areas of responsibility: They take care of the supply of water to the population of Burghausen and the Unghausen district of the municipality of Mehring. The municipal utilities are also responsible for the sewage disposal of the population of Burghausen and the Unghausen district of the municipality of Mehring.
In the name and on behalf of the district of Altötting, the Burghauser Stadtwerke collect the fees for waste disposal. In addition, the Stadtwerke operate the Burghausen baths. The pools include the Wöhrseebad, the Georg-Miesgang indoor pool and the outdoor pool.
Stadtwerke Burghausen fulfills its tasks without the intention of making a profit. Ancillary operations of the Stadtwerke include the Marienberg plant (max. 55 kW) and the Pointner plant (40 kW).
