Burghausen is on the move. A comprehensive mobility concept that includes a variety of innovative, ecological and social components is intended to reduce the number of cars in the city and at the same time make public transport and cycling more attractive. In this way, Burghausen wants to reduce CO2 emissions from traffic by 2030 percent by 40 and make the city more sustainable.

In order to be able to offer the residents of Burghausen a dense network of public transport and an attractive network of cycle paths, the city is investing in its infrastructure for bicycles, public transport and e-mobility.

Among other things, she wants to expand public transport and make commercial and freight transport efficient. In addition, she would like to expand the e-charging station network and offer sharing and ride-sharing options.

For this, the city is also relying on the steering committee that it set up in September 2020. He should work out individual, traffic-related solutions in the city of Burghausen and make concrete suggestions.

"In order to reduce traffic in the city, it is important to develop an overall package that interacts effectively on many levels and appeals to all residents of Burghausen equally."
