It is a central concern of the Burghausen city administration to make an active contribution to environmental protection and the achievement of climate neutrality. As a city, we would therefore like to give you an insight into our extensive projects, lecture series and our high commitment to species protection and climate protection.

In Burghausen we rely on a holistic strategy to minimize the environmental impact and reduce our ecological footprint. This includes measures for energy efficiency in urban buildings, the promotion of renewable energies and the improvement of local public transport (city bus, on-call bus).

In addition to these measures, we regularly organize lecture series, events and exhibitions that are intended to increase awareness of environmental and climate protection in our region. These provide a platform for exchanging ideas and discussing current challenges related to climate change.

Another focus is on species protection. We are actively committed to preserving biodiversity in our region and support projects to protect endangered animal and plant species. This includes both measures to protect habitats and raising awareness among the population about protecting our natural environment.

Burghausen plays a pioneering role in environmental protection and on the path to climate neutrality. But we are aware that there is still a lot of work ahead of us. We would therefore like to encourage all residents to actively participate in our efforts and work together towards a sustainable future for our city.
