A fast internet connection is more important today than ever. Bandwidths in the gigabit range are now required, which can only be achieved via a fiber optic connection. Telecommunications companies, districts and municipalities in the region as well as the city of Burghausen are pushing ahead with gigabit expansion in various ways.
In order to advance the necessary broadband expansion, they exhaust all existing possibilities. Almost 100 percent of Burghausen households now have fast internet. All schools in the city area and the administration are connected to the fiber optic cable network.
The fourth funding procedure for broadband expansion in the city is currently under way, with which the last "white spots" in the city area are being eliminated.
