General Information

The electoral office organizes and conducts general elections as well as referendums and referendums.

Employees can also issue polling cards on request. Citizens who want to vote by post in an election need polling cards. You will receive the postal voting documents together with the polling card.

A polling card is also required if voters do not want to vote at the polling station specified on their polling card, but at another polling station in the respective constituency.

Anyone applying for a polling card can do so via the Citizen service portal of the city of Burghausen or fill out the back of his voter's notification and send it to the electoral office. To do this, the applicant must provide the polling district and electoral register number.

If you go to the Burghauser Wahlamt in person, the staff will hand you the documents in person. If you submit your application online or in writing, you will receive the polling card and postal voting documents by post.

In addition, the Burghausen electoral office issues registration forms for referendums. You need a registration form if you want to take part in a referendum and want to register in another municipality in Bavaria rather than your main residence.

You can apply for a registration slip using the form. You will receive the registration form by post.

It is not possible to apply for a polling card or registration slip by telephone.
