The Big Band Burghausen has been enriching the cultural life of the jazz city of Burghausen for more than 50 years. 20 semi-professional and amateur musicians inspire their audiences at home and abroad with their sonorous, expressive concerts. For the anniversary of the 50th Jazz Week, the musicians also played at the Burghausen Jazz Week.
The repertoire of the big band is as diverse as it is demanding: sometimes the big band lets out soulful ballads, sometimes a powerful orchestral sound. The expressive voices of two female singers complete the big band.
In addition to classical compositions and modern arrangements, the Burghausen Big Band also takes their listeners into the world of music and jazz with their own pieces. Professional musicians like Dusko Goykovich and Leszek Zadlo often enrich the performances of the big band.
