The Franz Xaver Gruber Middle School is located in Neustadt in Burghausen.

The school is named after the composer and teacher Franz-Xaver Gruber, who composed the melody for the world-famous Christmas carol “Silent Night, Holy Night” in December 1818.

The Franz-Xaver-Gruber-Middle School offers a fixed all-day care.

Extended range of courses

M classes
At the Franz-Xaver-Gruber-Middle School, pupils have the opportunity to acquire the middle school certificate in the M classes. They don't have to leave middle school for that. A change to the M classes is possible from the seventh grade.

bee project
Since 2021, the Franz Xaver Gruber Middle School has housed a bee village. Together with a beekeeper and the caretaker, the young people in the all-day classes take care of the bees.
