The Burghausen Street of Fame is certainly unparalleled internationally and is a unique homage by the city of Burghausen to the legendary jazz artists who have already had guest performances in Burghausen.
For the 30th anniversary of the Burghauser Jazz Week in 1999, the city laid out the Street of Fame in the pits of Burghausen's old town. More than 40 relief panels can currently be found in the pavement of the historic alley. They bear the names, signatures and dates of life of renowned jazz musicians such as Ella Fitzgerald and Till Brönner.
The records regularly amaze visitors to Burghausen that such jazz legends have found their way to the picturesque small town. The Street of Fame fascinates and shows: Burghausen is jazz at the highest level.
Every two years, the city of Burghausen expands the Street of Fame from its southern end in the direction of Burghausen's town square.
Jazz fans can find more information about the Burghauser Street of Fame at IG Jazz.

"Although I come from Burghausen and know the Street of Fame well, I always find it exciting to read the names of jazz musicians on the records who have already been to Burghausen."
