On April 23, 2004, the Burghausen State Garden Show opened its doors to visitors after three years of preparation. Reason enough for the city of Burghausen to look back on the creation, implementation and sustainability of one of the most successful Bavarian state garden shows ever.

Exactly 20 years to the day after the opening with the then Prime Minister Edmund Stoiber, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 19 p.m. in the community center, former mayor Hans Steindl and the then managing director, Werner Lechner, together with discussion partners from the planners involved, the executing companies and of the numerous volunteer groups framed by pictures of the extensive renovations, the colorful hustle and bustle during the garden show and, last but not least, the current use and also give one or two anecdotes from this time.

The entire population is cordially invited to look back together and with pride on these 164 days in the summer of 2004. Burghauser wine, also a result of the garden show, will also be served for tasting. Admission is free!

In addition to other small activities throughout the year, there will also be a community festival in the city park on the last day of the garden show, on October 3rd.
