[31] Engineer's or Armoury Caretaker's (Zeugwärtl)
Tower Gatehouse between two towers with 3.5m thick diagonal wall, connecting walkway above - armoury caretaker's quarters; in the 19th Cent., the battalion commander's quarters ("Majorswohnung") - On the west side, ornamental battlements (swallow-tail battlements, popularly called "Schwurfinger," referring to the thumb and first two fingers raised to swear an oath), and passage "to the splendid view"

Guard and look-out tower - in the third tower, passage to the "Stethaimer Path"
[35] Short Barn (former arsenal):
Dating from 1427; three-storey tufa/ashlar construction; intermediate ceilings of heavy wood design, each supported in the middle by 7 masonry pillars - weapons and munitions arsenal with silo; according to a 1533 munitions inventory, 185 guns were being stored in both lower floors, among them the "Esl," a heavy stone gun, munitions and many other devices - restoration 1692 and second half of 19th Cent. (lower roof truss) - On the north side of the gable, the edge of the roof of the unfinished weapons smithy can still be seen.
